How do I become a member?

Create an Account to keep track of your training. You can then navigate to the membership tab and select a membership option.

This can all be completed via our website, and if needed with email support.

If you would rather pay as you train then an account is still required. You can view the pay as you train options on the Prices page.

What membership options do you have?

How do I set up multiple accounts for my children / dependants?

You can simply create a new account for your child using a unique email address.

If your child doesn't have their own email address then you can create 'Child Accounts' from your account page. Simply navigate to the 'Child Accounts' section and add your dependents information. You will then be able to quickly switch between accounts.

How do the different memberships work?

Each membership gives you a certain amount of classes per month. There are different membership bands each increasing in price and amount of classes. The more expensive membership options work out cheaper per session.

Memberships automatically renew each month, giving you your full amount of classes to use in that month until the 1st day of the next month.

Any left-over sessions that are not used are discarded and cannot be rolled over. Direct debit payments are taken via our online payment system GoCardless and are taken on the 2nd of every month.

If you run out of classes before the end of the month you can always ‘top up’ by purchasing pay as you train options.

Yes, we have classes for juniors ages 6 - 15. Please visit our junior page for more information..

I would like to visit SX MMA for the first time, what should I do?

Please read our website thoroughly and create an online account and profile. Once you have completed this then email memberships@sxmma.com. In this email include your full name, DOB and let us know that you have created a profile and would like to trial a class.

Please let us know which class / classes you are most interested in and you can have a free taster session prior to committing to any membership.

Please understand that you take full responsibility for any injuries picked up whilst training at SX MMA. Our coaches are qualified, but accidents can happen when training a contact sport. By setting up a membership you also need to read and agree to the terms and conditions of training.

Do you offer discounts?

If you have an active NUS student card, or Blue Light card, then you may receive a 10% discount.

There are no other exceptions to this.

I’m a complete novice and out of shape, is it ok to train at SX MMA?

Absolutely, we welcome absolutely everyone. We’d be happy to help you start your journey in mixed martial arts.

What equipment do I need to train?

To start a class all you need is shorts and a t-shirt. For women we recommend sports leggings, a supportive top and hair tied up.

If you wish to train regularly, then we recommend the below. Please talk with coaches & other members about recommended brands etc:

  • MMA – 4 oz MMA Gloves, 8 oz MMA Gloves, 14/16 oz Boxing gloves, MMA/Muay Thai shin guards, Hand Wraps, Gum Shield.
  • Boxing – Hand wraps, gum shield, 14/16 oz boxing gloves.
