At SX MMA you can expect a friendly atmosphere with a creative and fun approach to training Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and fitness. We not only cover the most effective and up-to-date grappling and MMA methods; we also enjoy developing new, scientifically supported concepts and skills to give you the edge in competition and in self-defence scenarios. As you train with us you will be encouraged to develop and create your own unique, but ultimately effective style, with the support of our highly trained coaches.
In our brief 5-year history we have built an excellent relationship with our local community, teaming up with mental health charity Fitness In Mind, and we are proud to have made a huge positive impact on so many people’s lives. We have also created multiple successful competitors and champions, nationally and internationally; in Grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, including top 10 amateur prospect and defending WCMMA Middleweight Champion Connor Hayes. We have many talented martial artists coming through, ready to shine in 2019. At SX MMA we have dozens of black belts in varying martial arts and we are linked to some of the top MMA, Grappling and Fitness Gyms in the World.
Head Coach, Alan Packman is an innovative Sports Coaching Scientist with a philosophical approach to studying which allows science, conceptual ideas and clinical technique to be blended unlike anywhere else.
